In the 1850 census of Nineveh Twp, Johnson Co., IN, Daniel (69) was living with wife Abigail (65), and three grandchildren, Matilda Prichard (18), Ann Prichard (10), and Walker Prichard (Jr?) (22). Daniel was a farmer and owned $3000 worth of property.
Walker is the son of David Parkhurst Prichard, Daniel's son. Ann is the child of Walker Daniel Prichard who lived with his other 8 children in Nineveh (he probably had no room for all his kids). Matilda is not Walker's daughter, Matilda, who was living with him and his wife at this time and was 4 years younger. If she were Daniel's daughter, her mother would have to have been 47 when she was born, which is unlikely. Matilda, therefore, must be another granddaughter.
