In the 1850 census of Nineveh Twp, Johnson Co., IN, Walker (44) was living with his wife Emerine (33) and children Matilda (14), Emerine (12), Ellen (6), David (1), Nancy Walker (14), Isaac Walker (11), and Mahala Walker (9). David is his only child at this time with Emerine; the others are from his first wife Nancy Walker. One other child (Anne) was living with her grandparents, Daniel and Abigail Prichard.
It must be just coincidence that both Walker's new wife and daughter from his previous marriage were both named Emerine.
Nancy, Isaac, and Mahala Walker are the children of Emerine Mead Wilson Walker Prichard and her first husband, Samuel Walker. Samuel was also Nancy Ann's brother and Walker's cousin.
