Maryam and Garabed are mentioned as being Almas Halajian's parents on her marriage in 1921 to Sarkis Bournazian.  Not much else is known about them.  They were born in Turkey, most likely in Gurun.  Maryam died in her 30's, according to rememberances of her grandchildren.  Garabed married again, but died, probably before the start of the massacres in 1915.  The Halajian sisters fled Gurun with their stepmother, but she died along the way before they came to the US.
