Walter Siran was a veteran of WWII and a survivor of the Armenian Genocide by the Turks.  He was a sergeant in the US Army, attaining the rank of Brevet Major during the war.  He lived with his mother Zano on East Platt Street in Fresno, CA.  Walter married once, but his wife died young.  He had two children, Gracie and another girl.  He died in 1982 of throat cancer.
