| Journal and Courier, Lafayette-West Lafayette, IN 12-05-06 Annie Laurie Parkhurst Annie Laurie Parkhurst, 96, formerly of 2100 Fairway Lane, West Lafayette, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at Westminster Health Care. Born Nov. 11, 1910, to the late Arthur V. White and Dora Emich White in Johnson County, she was a graduate of Franklin College. She had resided in West Lafayette since 1946, and lived at Westminster Village the past nine years. Her marriage was to Nelson M. Parkhurst on Aug. 20, 1939, in Johnson County, and he survives. Mrs. Parkhurst taught English and Latin in Nineveh, Greenwood, Moral Township in Shelby County, Linden, Otterbein and for East Tipp schools, retiring in 1969. She was a member of Federated Church of West Lafayette, Delta Delta Delta and the PEO Sisterhood. Mrs. Parkhurst did book reviews for area organizations and volunteered for the American Cancer Society. Surviving with her husband are two sons, Roger W. Parkhurst of Alexandria, Va., and Bruce W. Parkhurst (wife: Marcia) of Toledo, Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Graham of West Lafayette and Eudora Lewis (husband: J. Waldon) of Muncie. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W., with service there 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Dr. Gary Reif officiating.
