In the 1830 census of Casey Co., KY, "Warner Spainhoward" is listed with the following family: 010001-11001.  This breaks down as follows:

Males:
5-10: 1 (Thomas)
30-40: 1 (Werner, b. 1790-1799)

Females:
<5: 1 (Nancy)
5-10: 1 (Jane)
20-30: 1 (Polly)


Werner had died before the 1840 census was held.  Since his son John was born in KY in 1836, Werner must have died sometime between 1835 and 1840, most likely in DeWitt/Macon Co.

According to the biographical sketch on his grandson, Henry, Werner and Polly first settled in Sangamon Co. when they arrived in IL from KY.

Werner's father, John Spainhour, was in the 1820 Casey Co., KY, census.  It can therefore be assumed that all of Werner's children were born there before coming to Illinois, and that he and Polly were most likely married in Casey Co. as well.
