In the 1870 census of Bolivar, Hardeman Co., TN, "W B Parker", 35, is living with wife Mary J., 26, son Charles H., 12, daughter Hellen, 9, son Mani B., 6, son Wallace, 3, and son Thomas C., 1.  Walter is a plasterer with property worth $200.  Walter was born in VA, Mani in KY, the rest in TN.

in the 1880 census of Precinct 2, Jack Co., TX, Walter B., 46, is living with wife "Mavey", 46, and children Charles, 21, "Hellon", 17, "Manney", 14, "Wallos", 13, "Thommas", 10, Walter, 7, James, 4, and "Babe", 4/12 (born in Sept).  The baby was born in TX, the other kids in TN.  Walter was born in VA, as were both parents.  "Mavey" was born in TN, her father in SC and her mother in Georgia.

In the 1900 census of Liberty, Cleveland Co., OK, Walter, 66 (Feb 1834) is living with wife Mary J., 64 (Jan 1836) and sons Thomas C., 31 (Feb 1869) and James E., 23 (Aug 1876).  Walter was born in VA as was both his parents.  Mary was born in TN, father in NC, mother in GA.

Walter was a private in the Confederate Army, serving as an artilleryman under Capt. John W. Morton in Morton's Tennessee Battery.  This unit fought in the Battle of Vicksburg.
