[Abraham Dugas-Martha Joubert.ged] recorded: grand coteau church...v4 p85...the grand coteau record lists robert e. lee as "robert hache"...the opelousas courthouse record as "robert e"... recorded: opel cthse: marr # 12492...lists marriage date as 30 oct 1866...probably the date the license was obtained...the marriage then took place on 10 nov 1866... the marriage license was obtained in opelousas (robert e. lee lived in the opelousas area) but the marriage took place in grand coteau...the thibodeaux family was from the grand coteau area and attended the st charles borromeo catholic church in grand coteau...
