| Probated 1694 John Smallwood In the name of God Amen the 20th day of March 1693, I John Smallwood of Charles County in the province of Maryland {illegible} Imp. I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Ester Smallwood Two Hundred Acres of Land my plantation being upon it and one ffeather bed which I bought of my ffather Smallwood and pair of Blankette one rugg Pr of Sheetes and One Iron Pott and Iron Kettle the biggest bras kettle three puter Dishes two platts and one haire trunck and what Lynen I have and one Brindle Cow and yearling. I also Give my Daughter One Gray Mare which I bought of Edmond Lynsey & was formerly John Ratliefs and also Eight Sows & also one sett of cortaines and vallence and one Silver Spoon and one God Ring. Item I give Bequeath unto my wife Lettus One feather bed and furniture and one cow & yearling one Iron Pott one Brass kettle One gray pacing horse named Wigster and Eight Sows * Lettus to have my said Plantation till she doth marry whereupon and if sd Lettus doth marry then to have fifty acres of my daughter's land and one * Item I give and bequeath unto my brother James Smallwood one new striped searge coate & britches and one {illegible} cloth and one muskett. Item I give unto my brother Mathew Smallwood one striped searge coate & Britches and two gilts - Item I give unto my brother Thomas Smallwood one horse and one striped searge Jackett, Item I give unto my brother William Smallwood one young gray stone horse and I give unto the said William's's wife one yearling heifer, and I give unto my sister Sarah one bay horse called by the name of Cossoon, and I give unto Hennery Moore one two years old heifer with a white face which is down about Port Tobacco, Item I give unto my brother Ledstone one bay mare cropped of one ear and slitt and slit and {illegible} of the other ear. I give my brother Benjamin one Bay broke horse. Item I give unto my brother Bayne One Horse which Ed Lindsey oweth me and is to be broke and delivered upon Demand. I give unto my brother Pryor fifty acres of land adjoyning to my daughter's lane, Item I give to my sister Mary Maddocks the other fifty acres of land Joyning unto Pryors and unto her heirs forever, and I give unto my brother in law Cornelius Maddocks one bay horse with a white face cropt of one year and {illegible} on the other, I give unto my well beloved father Smallwood ten hoggs and the remainder of my hoggs I leave for the paying of my debts and there is thirty shillings in Edmond Lynd's hand to pay Debts to which {illegible} My brother James Smallwood & my brother Thomas Smallwood Executors as witness my hand and seale the day & year above mentioned.
