| Will probated January 4, 1765 Matthew Smallwood In the Name of God Amen I Matthew Smallwood of Charles County being weak of Body but sound of Mind do make this my last Will and Testament revoking all former wills by me made and I do Constitute and appoint my Son Beane Smallwood, my daughter Priscilla Smallwood & Joshua Harris of Charles County Joint Executors of this my said Will. Impremis I give and Bequeath unto my son Beane Smallwood all that Part of a Tract of Land called Friendship which belongs to me. Likewise I give unto my said Son Beane Smallwood one Negro Woman named Bess and the Increase of her Body from this Day. Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Priscilla Smallwood one Negro Man named Bowles Item I give and Bequeath to my son Francis Green Smallwood one Negro Boy named Andrew Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Martha Smallwood one Negro Girl named Amey. Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Benjamin Smallwood one Negro Boy named Watt. Item I give and Bequeath unto my Son Beane Smallwood & my Daughter Priscilla Smallwood two Negro Men named Will and Daniel and the Negro Girl named Bess & the Increase of her Body in trust for my two sons Philip & James Smallwood for their decent Maintenance as long as the said Philip & James shall remain unmarried. I likewise give and Bequeath all my Household furniture, Goods and Chattels, Horses, Hogs, Sheep Cattle & Plantation Implements after my Lawful Debts shall be paid unto my Children before mentioned to be equally divided between them. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this fifth day of November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred & Sixty. On 2/19/1739, Matthew and Mary Smallwood sold to Smallwood Coghill of PG Co, MD land called "School House".
