Email from Dr. John Scott Davenport 1/3/2001: "My brothers Bob, Dick, and sister Julianna, all of whom then lived in Southern California, had a casual relationship with Uncle Henry after he and Aunt Frances moved to California from Texas, and attended Uncle Henry's funeral, but could give me no specifics when I did the family sheet in the early 1970s." After contracting polio in 1904, had one leg 4 inches shorter than the other.  Had to wear an iron riser on the shoe so he could walk.
